Experiencing Great Urbanism

The ENU Place Summit took the presentations and prompts to the streets with walking tours through each of the cities where the Place Summit hubs met - every year in a different location and itinerary. In 2021, the hubs were San Francisco/Berkeley, Chicago, and New Haven. In 2024, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, and Washington DC. Participants enjoy exploring new cities while engaging with other passionate individuals. Discussions continued through afternoon meals, coffee runs, boat tours, and evenings spent in roof-top bars.

An Inspirational Beginning

As ENU's inaugural event, this Place Summit didn't just allow participants to talk about their passions and enjoy a beautiful city. This meeting of minds celebrated the creation of the Emerging New Urbanists and prompted the creation of the ENU Task Force, enabling the community of ENU to continue to expand and welcome emerging professionals from far and wide to join in the movement of New Urbanism.

We learned that in-person connection is essential to building momentum behind the Emerging New Urbanist community. Discussions about person and group goals help us discover our community's next steps. We love new perspectives and attendees. Join us!
